While clerking at his family’s family law practice, James attended Loyola Law School, where as a certified law student he successfully defended and argued a pro bono family law appeal at the Fourth District Court of Appeal. James also won best appellate brief as a law student during moot court competition.

Since being admitted to the Bar, James has defended parents in juvenile dependency cases and represented clients in family law litigation, civil litigation, and appeals.

Candice has over eight years’ experience as a paralegal, having worked on all types of family law cases from start to finish, in jurisdictions throughout Southern California.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning and History from the University of California at San Diego, Candice pursued graduate study in Geographic Information Science at the University of Denver, earning a Graduate Certificate.
